Helter Skelter

I post one notorious devils reject a day.
John Wayne Gacy the “Killer Clown”
John Wayne Gacy was convicted of the torture, rape and murder of 33 males between 1972 until his arrest in 1978. He was dubbed the “Killer Clown” because he entertained kids at parties as “Pogo The Clown.” He was eventually convicted and sentenced to death
his first known account of John Gacy’s sadistic behavior began after his marriage to Marilynn Myers in 1964 in Iowa. After he lured a young boy and tried to sodomize him when he refused to perform oral sex. After being reported he ended up doing 18 months of a 10 year prison sentence on a sexual molestation conviction. After prison, divorced and disgraced, he decided to return to his hometown Chicago and start a new life. He remarried but the marriage ended quickly, leaving Gacy alone to feed his sadistic fantasies. By 1978 he was actively cruising for homesexual young men and luring them to his home where he would then torture, rape and brutally kill them.Another tactic he used to get young men to his home was through posting jobs at his construction company. He would lure them to his house on the pretext of talking to them about a job. Once the boys got inside his home he would overpower them, knock them unconscious and begin his gruesome crime of torture, rape and murder. The police became suspicious of Gacy when a mother of one boy who was to meet Gacy about a job never returned home. When the police saw Gacy’s criminal record they began to keep a close eye on him. Gacy, in his usual bizarre behavior, invited the police in for coffee. The police accepted the invitation and once inside they became ovrwhelmed by a strong odor which they recognized as possibly coming from a decaying dead body. The police then obtained a search warrant and uncovered 29 bodies in the crawlspace of Gacy’s house. The bodies were all male and ranged in age from nine years old to their mid-20s. Later Gacy admitted to more killings in which he dumped the bodies into a nearby river. In searching for all possible victims, the police excavated Gacy’s yard and gutted the house, eventually tearing it completely down. After he was convicted and sentenced to death in 1980, he continued to taunt authorities with different versions of his story about the murders in an attempt to stay alive. Authorities were not swayed and on May 10, 1994 his execution by lethal injection was carried out.Convicted serial rapist and killer John Wayne Gacy’s final words before being executed by lethal injection, on May 10, 1994, were —
“Kiss my ass.”

Hadden Clark
Hadden Clark grew up in an affluent home in Troy, New York, with alcoholic parents who were abusive to their four children. Not only did Hadden suffer the abuse that his siblings suffered, but his mother, when drunk, would dress him in girl’s clothing and call him Kristen. His father had another name for him when he was drunk. He would call him “retard.”
The emotional and physical abuse took its toll on the Clark children. One of his brothers, Bradfield, murdered his girlfriend, cut her into pieces, then cooked and ate part of her breasts. When he sobered up he confessed his crimes to police.
His other brother, Geoff, was convicted of spousal abuse and his sister, Alison, ran away from home when she was a teen and later denounced her family.
Hadden Clark showed common psychopathic tendencies during his childhood years. He was a bully who seemed to enjoy hurting other kids and also found pleasure in torturing and killing animals.
After leaving home, Clark attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, where he trained and graduated as a chef. The credentials helped him gain employment at top restaurants, hotels and on cruise liners, but his jobs would not last due to his erratic behavior.
After going through 14 different jobs between 1974 and 1982, Clark joined the U.S. Navy as a cook, but apparently his shipmates did not like his propensity to wearing women’s underwear and on occasion would beat him. He received a medical discharge after being diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic.
After leaving the Navy, Clark went to live with his brother Geoff in Silver Springs, Maryland, but was asked to leave after he was caught masturbating in front of Geoff’s young children.
While packing up his belongings, six-year-old neighbor, Michelle Dorr, came by looking for his niece. No one was home, but Clark told the young girl his niece was in her bedroom and followed her into the house where he butchered her with a knife and cannibalized her, then buried her body in a shallow grave in a near-by park. The child’s father was the key suspect in her disappearance.
In 1992, Clark was working as a part-time gardener for Penny Houghteling in Bethesda, Maryland. When Laura Houghteling, Penny’s daughter, returned home from college, Clark resented the competition it created for Penny’s attention. As a result, he murdered her and buried her in a shallow grave near a campsite where he was living.
He was arrested within days of the murder and received a 30 year prison sentence after pleading guilty to second degree murder.
While in prison Clark bragged to fellow inmates about murdering several women, including Michelle Dorr. One of his cell mates reported the information to authorities and Clark was arrested, tried and found guilty of murdering Dorr. He was given an additional 30-year prison sentence.

Donald Gaskins.
Donald “Pee Wee” Gaskins was the most prolific serial killer in South Carolina history. Once his brutality was unleashed, he knew no boundaries, torturing, killing, cannibalizing victims, both male and female. In his taped memoirs for the book, Final Truth by author Wilton Earl, Gaskins said, ‘I have walked the same path as God, by taking lives and making others afraid, I became God’s equal. Through killing others, I became my own master. Through my own power I come to my own redemption..’

Donald had a troubled childhood as his father was never part of his life and his mother lived on and off with several men during his childhood. Many were violent towards Gaskins for just being around, his mother did little to protect him. When his mother did marry, his stepfather beat him and his four half-siblings regularly.
While growing up  Gaskins was emotionally battling an intense hatred toward people, women topping the list. He soon quit school and met two boys, Danny and Marsh, both close to his age and out of school. The three teamed up and named themselves the “The Trouble Trio.” There antics included bburglarizing homes and picking up prostitutes in nearby cities and even sometimes raping some of the local boys who they threatened into staying quiet. They were soon caught after gang raping Marsh’ younger sister, they recieved beatings and soon After the beatings, Marsh and Danny left the area but this did not stop Gaskins from continuing with his crimes. At the age of 13 he was caught breaking into a house by a girl who attacked him with an axe, which he managed to get away from her, striking her in the head and arm with it before running away from the scene. The girl survived the attack and Gaskins was arrested, tried and found guilty of assault with a deadly weapon and intent to kill.

He was sent to the South Carolina Industrial School for Boys until he turned 18 years old. Almost immediately he was attacked and gang-raped by 20 of his new peers. He spent the rest of his time either accepting protection from the dorm “Boss-Boy” in exchange for sex or trying unsuccessfully to escape from the reformatory. He was repeatedly beaten for his escape attempts and sexually exploited among the gang favored by the “Boss-Boy.”  He was released in March 1951 on his 18th birthday. After his release Gaskins soon struck again, using a hammer he split a girls skull open. He was then sent back to prison for another 5 years.

Prison life was not much different from his time spent in reform school. Gaskins was immediately assigned to sexually service one of the prison gang leaders in exchange for protection. He realised he needed to take action to scare of other inmates so he in theory would become topdog, he soon maipulated a relationship with one of the meanest inmates, Hazel Brazell. before ultimatley slitting his throat. He could now look forward to an easier time in prison. Gaskins was released from prison in August 1961.

In 1962, Gaskin married a third time but this did not stop his criminal behavior. He was arrested for statutory rape of a twelve-year-old girl but managed to escape, this time traveling to North Carolina in a stolen Florence County car. There he met another 17-year-old and married for a fourth time. She ended up turning him into the police and Gaskin was convicted of statutory rape. He received six years at the Columbia penitentiary and was paroled in November 1968, vowing never to return. All through Gaskins life he had what he described as, ‘them aggravated and bothersome feelings,’ that seemed to push him into criminal activity. He found little relief from the feelings until September 1969, when he picked up a female hitchhiker in North Carolina. Gaskins became angry with the young girl for laughing at him when he propositioned her for sex. He beat her until she was unconscious then raped, sodomized, and tortured her then sunk her weighted body into a swamp where she drowned. This act of brutality was what Gaskins later described as ‘a vision’ into the ‘bothersome feelings’ that haunted him throughout life. He finally discovered how to satisfy them and from that point on, it was the driving force in his life. He worked on mastering his skill of torture, often keeping his mutilated victims alive for days. He sometimes cannibalized their severed parts while they watched in horror or forced them to participate in the eating.

Although Gaskins preferred female victims it did not stop him from doing the same to males he happened upon. By 1975, he had killed over 80 young boys and girls he found along the North Carolina highways and he now looked forward to his old “bothersome feelings” because it felt so good to him to relieve them through torture and murder. He considered his highway murders as weekend recreation and referred to killing personal acquaintances as “serious murders.”Victims of his serious murders included his 15-year-old niece, Janice Kirby, and her friend, Patricia Alsobrook. In November 1970, he offered the two girls a ride home from a bar and instead drove them to an abandoned house. There he raped, beat, and drowned the girls in separate locations. His next serious murder was of Martha Dicks, a 20-year-old who was attracted to Gaskins and hung around him at his part-time job at a car repair shop. She was also the first African American that he killed.

In 1973, Gaskins purchased an old hearse, telling people at his favorite bar that he needed the vehicle to haul all the people he killed to his private cemetery. At this time he was living in Prospect, South Carolina with his wife and child.People just thought he was mentally disturbed and most tried to avoid being around him. Some actually liked him and considered him a friend. One of those people was 23-year-old Doreen Dempsey. Doreen, an unwed mother of a two-year-old baby girl, and pregnant with a second child, decided to leave the area and accepted a ride to the bus station from her old friend Gaskins. Instead, Gaskins took her to a wooded area, raped and killed her, then raped and sodomized her baby. After killing the child he buried the two together. The rape of the child would later be described by Gaskins as the best sex of his life.

In 1975, Gaskinsm 42 years old and a grandfather had been steadily killing for six years. His ability to get away with it was mainly because he never involved anyone else in his highway murders. This changed in 1975 after Gaskins murdered three people whose van had broken down on the highway. Gaskins needed help getting rid of the trio’s van and enlisted the help of ex-con Walter Neely. Neely drove the van to Gaskins’ garage and Gaskins repainted it so he could sell it. Gaskins carried on his spree busy killing and torturing other people he knew, including a 13-year-old, Kim Ghelkins, who sexually rejected him. Asking for Neelys cooperation occasionally.

Gaskins obviously took Neely in as a trusted friend, a fact proven when he pointed out to Neely the graves of the other locals who he had murdered and buried there.
The investigation into the disappearance of Kim Ghelkins was turning up enough leads that pointed the finger at Gaskins. After a search of Gaskins apartment uncovered clothing worn by Ghelkins, Gaskins was indited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. While awaiting trial in prison, Walter Neely broke down under police pressure and showed authorties Gaskins personal cemetary.he bodies of Sellars, Judy, Howard, Diane Neely, Johnny Knight, Dennis Bellamy, Doreen Dempsey and her child were found in the graves. On April 27, 1976, Gaskins and Walter Neely were charged with eight counts of murder. Gaskins’ attempts to appear as an innocent victim failed and on May 24, 1976, a jury found him guilty of murdering Dennis Bellamy, his sentence - death. He later confessed to the additional seven murders to avoid additional death sentences.During the last months of his life, Gaskins spent time working with author Wilton Earl on his book, Final Truth which was published in 1993. In the book, Gaskins spent a lot of his time talking about his murders and his feeling of something “bothersome” inside of him throughout his life. The closer his execution became the more philosophical he got while dictating his memoirs into a tape recorder.

On the day of his execution, Gaskins slashed his wrists in an effort to postpone his execution. This time he would fail to trick death from his door and with stitched arms, he was placed into the electric chair and was pronounced dead by electrocution, at 1:05 a.m. on Sept. 6, 1991.
How many people he was actually responsible for killing is also an area of debate since proof of several of his confessed murders was never found. The one fact that cannot be disputed is that Gaskins was a psychopath from a very early age and had no regard for any human life but his own.

Richard Ramirez - The Night Stalker
A look into the rape and killing spree of Satanic worshipper and serial killer, Richard Ramirez, who terrorized Los Angeles in 1985.
Ricardo Leyva a.k.a. Richard Ramirez was born in El Paso, Texas, on February 28, 1960, to Julian and Mercedes Ramirez. Richard was the youngest child of six, epileptic, and described by his father as being “a good boy,” until his involvement with drugs.
Despite Richard admiring his father at the age of 12, he found a new hero, his cousin, Mike, a Vietnam veteran and ex-Green Beret. Mike, home from Vietnam, shared gruesome pictures of rape and human torture with Richard, who became fascinated with the pictorial brutality. The two spent a lot of time together, smoking pot and talking about war. On one such day, Mike’s wife began to complain about Mike’s laziness. Mike’s reaction was to kill her by shooting her in the face, in front of Richard. Because of Mike’s war record, he was sentenced to seven years for the killing.

By the age of 18, Richard was a Regular drug user and chronic candy eater, resulting in tooth decay and extreme halitosis. He also became involved in Satan worshipping and his general poor appearance enhanced his satanic persona. He soon decided to move to Southern California. There he advanced from simple theft to breaking and entering into homes. He became very proficient at it and eventually began to linger in the homes of his victims.
On June 28, 1984, his burglaries progressed into something far more evil. Ramirez entered through an opened window of Glassel Park resident, Jennie Vincow, age 79. According to Philip Carlo’s book, ‘The Night Stalker,’ he became angry after not finding anything of value to steal, and began stabbing the sleeping Vincow, eventually slitting her throat. The act of killing aroused him sexually, and he had sex with the corpse before leaving.
Eighth months soon passed but the taste of his crime still lingered, he then went on to claim two more lives and seriously injuring another, Within all the same hour.
On March 27, Ramirez shot Vincent Zazarra, age 64, and his wife Maxine, age 44. Mrs. Zazzara’s body was mutilated with several stab wounds, a T-carving on her left breast, and her eyes were gouged out. The autopsy determined that the mutilations were post-mortem. Ramirez left footprints in the flower beds, which the police photographed and cast. Bullets found at the scene were matched to those found at previous attacks, and the police realized a serial killer was on the loose.
Two months after killing the Zazzara couple, Ramirez attacked again. Harold Wu, age 66, was shot in the head, and his wife, Jean Wu, age 63, was punched, bound, and then violently raped. For unknown reasons, Ramirez decided to let her live. Ramirez’s attacks were now in full throttle. He left behind more clues to his identity, and was named, ‘The Night Stalker,’ by the media. Those who survived his attacks, provided the police with a description - Hispanic, long dark hair, and foul smelling. On May 29, 1985, Ramirez attacked Malvial Keller, 83, and her invalid sister, Blanche Wolfe, 80, beating each with a hammer. Ramirez attempted to rape Keller, but failed. Using lipstick, he drew a pentagram on Keller’s thigh and on the wall in the bedroom. Blanche survived the attack. The next day, Ruth Wilson, 41, was bound, raped, and sodomized by Ramirez, while her 12-year old son was locked in a closet. Ramirez slashed Wilson once, and then bound her and her son together, and left. Ramirez’s 1985 killing and rape spree massacre continued:
June 27 - Ramirez raped a 6-year-old girl in Acadia.
June 28 - Patty Higgins, age 32, was beaten and her throat slit.
July 2 - Mary Cannon, age 75, was beaten and her throat slit.
July 5 - Deidre Palmer, age 16, survived being beaten with a tire iron.
July 7 - Joyce Lucille Nelson, 61, was bludgeoned to death.
July 7 - Linda Fortuna, 63, was attacked and Ramirez tried to rape her, but failed.
July 20 - Maxson Kneiling, 66, and his wife Lela, also 66, were shot and their corpses, mutilated.
July 20, Chitat Assawahem, 31, was shot and his wife Sakima, 29, was beaten then forced to perform oral sex. Ramirez then collected $30,000 in valuables, but before leaving, he sodomized the couple’s eight-year-old son.
August 6 - Ramirez shot both Christopher Petersen, 38, and his wife, Virginia, 27, in the head. Both somehow survived.
August 8 - Ramirez shot Ahmed Zia, 35, and raped and sodomized his wife, Suu Kyi, 28, and forced her to perform oral sex on him.
On Aug. 24, 1985, Ramirez traveled 50 miles south of Los Angeles, and broke into the home of Bill Carns, 29, and his fiancée, Inez Erickson, 27. Ramirez shot Carns in the head and raped Erickson. He demanded she swear her love for Satan and afterwards, forced her to perform oral sex on him. He then tied her and left. Erickson struggled to the window and saw the car Ramirez was driving.
A teenager wrote down the license plate number of the same car, after noticing it cruising suspiciously in the neighborhood. On August 30, 1985, an arrest warrant for Richard Ramirez was issued and his face revealed to the public. He was soon hunted down after being unaware of the warrant for his arrest.
Because of the endless appeals on the part of the defense, the Ramirez trial did not end for over four years. During the trial, Ramirez attracted several groupies who wrote to him regularly. The trial scene had haunts of the Charlie Manson trial, with women hanging around, clad in black robes. hen one of the juror’s failed to show up one day, and was discovered dead in her apartment from a gun shot wound, many wondered if some of Ramirez’s followers were responsible. But in actuality, it was the woman’s boyfriend who killed her, during an argument that erupted while discussing the Ramirez case.
In 1996, Ramirez tied the knot with one of his groupies. 41-year-old Doreen Lioy, who has described herself as a virgin, prior to her marriage to Ramirez. He said her virginity is what attracted him to her. Doreen Lioy believes her husband is innocent of the charges against him. Lioy, who was raised as a Catholic, respects Ramirez’s Satanic worship. This was demonstrated when she gave him a silver wedding band to wear, since Satanic worshipers do not wear gold.
On September, 20, 1989, The Night Stalker, Richard Ramirez, was found guilty on 43 counts in Los Angeles County, including 13 murders, and charges including burglary, sodomy, and rape. He was sentenced to death on each count of murder. After receiving his sentence, Ramirez responded, “Big deal,” he said. “Death always went with the territory.” and told reporters, “I’ll see you in Disneyland.” Currently Ramirez is in San Quentin Prison, where he sits on death row, until he is out of appeals.
He has already outlived some of the victims that survived his attack.

  • June 27 - Ramirez raped a 6-year-old girl in Acadia.
  • June 28 - Patty Higgins, age 32, was beaten and her throat slit.
  • July 2 - Mary Cannon, age 75, was beaten and her throat slit.
  • July 5 - Deidre Palmer, age 16, survived being beaten with a tire iron.
  • July 7 - Joyce Lucille Nelson, 61, was bludgeoned to death.
  • July 7 - Linda Fortuna, 63, was attacked and Ramirez tried to rape her, but failed.
  • July 20 - Maxson Kneiling, 66, and his wife Lela, also 66, were shot and their corpses, mutilated.
  • July 20, Chitat Assawahem, 31, was shot and his wife Sakima, 29, was beaten then forced to perform oral sex. Ramirez then collected $30,000 in valuables, but before leaving, he sodomized the couple’s eight-year-old son.
  • August 6 - Ramirez shot both Christopher Petersen, 38, and his wife, Virginia, 27, in the head. Both somehow survived.
  • August 8 - Ramirez shot Ahmed Zia, 35, and raped and sodomized his wife, Suu Kyi, 28, and forced her to perform oral sex on him.

Karla Homolka - Child Rapist, Torturer and Killer
At age 17 Homolka Toronto and met 23-year-old, Paul Bernardo. The two had sex on the day that they first met. They quickly discovered that they shared the same sado-masochistic desires, with Paul moving quickly into the position of master, and Homolka willingly taking the role as slave, obsessed with fulfilling Bernardo’s every fantasy. Over the next few years the relationship between Homolka and Bernardo intensified and they shared and encouraged each other’s psychotic behavior. It was during this time that Bernardo was involved in raping women with the approval of Homolka.
One of Bernardo’s constant complaints with Homolka was that she was not a virgin when they met. Homolka, devoted to pleasing Bernardo every way possible, knew of his attraction to her 15-year-old sister, Tammy, whose virginity was intact. The two decided that they would force Tammy into being a surrogate virgin for her older sister. To help accomplish this, Homolka stole the animal anesthetic, Halothane from the vet clinic where she worked. On December 23, 1990, at a Christmas party at the Homolka family home, Bernardo and Homolka served Tammy alcoholic drinks spiked with halcyon. After family members retired, the two took Tammy to the basement and Homolka held a cloth soaked in Halothane to Tammy’s mouth. Once Tammy was unconscious the couple raped her. During the rape Tammy began choking on her own vomit and ultimately died. The drugs in Tammy’s system went undetected and her death was officially ruled an accident.
They when on to commit more rapes and murders but this time video recording and torture was endured into their crimes, one victim a teenager named Jane was one victim that managed to survive the encounter with the couple.
June 29 was also the day that Bernardo and Homolka were married in an elaborate wedding held at the Niagara-on-the-Lake church. In January 1993 Homolka separated from Bernardo because of the constant physical abuse that he subjected her to beginning in the summer of 1992. His attacks had become increasingly ferocious, resulting in Homolka being hospitalized. She left him and moved in with friends of her sister, one of which was a police officer. Homolka, realizing the pair was going to be caught, confessed to her uncle that Bernardo was a serial rapist and murderer. She also obtained a lawyer and began negotiations into a plea bargain in exchange for her testimony against Bernardo. In mid-February, Bernardo was arrested and charged with the Scarborough rapes and the murders of Mahaffy and French. During the search of the couples home, a diary of Bernardo’s with written descriptions of each crime was discovered. A plea bargain was discussed for Homolka which she would get a twelve year sentence for her participation in the crimes in exchange for her testimony. The government agreed to her being eligible for parole after serving three years with good behavior. Homolka quickly agreed to all terms and the deal was set. Though only Paul took the fall; who confessed to countless numbers of rapes, etc. So why did Karla get off? Her confession was all it took. Karla confessed to the crimes, only if she could get off. In the confession, she reported the only way they could convict her was if they got their hands on the tapes that were created during the gruesome acts. Supposedly on the tapes were the tortures, rapes, and terrible slaughters of Tammy and another unnamed victim. Seeing as the tapes could never be found, Karla went free. Instead, her husband was convicted and tried for the deaths, rapes, and countless other crimes he committed. He is serving two life sentences. One for himself, the other for his now free Ex wife. Karla lives a private life. Now remarried and lives out of public eye in a remote part of Ontario, Canada. But the world - every time she is seen - is sure to remind her of the crimes she once committed and admitted to. Leading her to be one of the worst women alive.
